PIINNNNNGGG- POOONGG

Okay, so I'm sure everyone remembers my ADHD post, considering it was just the other day. Hehe. Well I want to thank all the people who left me comments, they include: Hln, Tim-the fellow drama guy, Serenity, Tim again, MJXM, and CGHill.

Thanks guys! I loved the comments!

But in all fairness there was a 7th commenter. To put it bluntly I hate this guy. I have met him in person, and my hate I believe is justified. But to get to the point, he commented, and he doesn't have a website, so I'm going to just post his comment for all to see. Here it goes:

So you're saying these people who have a hard time paying attention DON'T? I mean.. come on now... What the hell do you think Attention DEFICIT means??? You say your little brother is one... does him BEING YOUR little brother qualify him as an exceptoin to being (in your own words) "biggest-pardon my language- bullshit ever?"
Look Mookie... You either accept it or you don't. PAY ATTENTION! I geuss YOU'RE the one who's ADD since you can't seem to focus on a simple logistics crash course like this one.
#1.) BEing ADD means you're GONNA be lazy, but it's not the REASON you're lazy. If you ARE a lazy person, having ADD is just gonna make you lazier.
#2.) YES, people DO take advantage of their disadvantage... AS OFTEN AS a guy with 2 arm-casts asks the nurse to help him in the restroom. (A) takes advantage of the oportunity. (B) BUT, when it's needed... HE HAS NO OTHER CHOICE.
#3.) Ok, you stubern little 16yo bookworm... If YOU have no problem concentrating on things, then stay up for 24 HOURS and then try to study (just to see how hard they have it. They WANT to concentrate... they just can't!!! and alot of them give up. THAT'S why you don't understand. Because YOU don't want to. Because if you DID... you might not feel higher then them. Trying to feel higher then somene and using their dissorder as an excuse makes YOU a descriminating victimizer.

"The truth can hurt, but honesty is ALWAYS on your side." (me)

Do you tell someone without legs that having no legs is no excuse to not run?
Just because it's a handicap you can't SEE, doesn't mean it's not a handicap you can't pay attention. After all... it seems YOU've been busy paying attention to it alot lately.

P.S.: As far as the pharmacudicals ("drugs"), if ANY of you knew ANY thing about biological chemistry, you MIGHT understand HOW these drugs work and that they DO work.

ADD sufferers include...
Harriet Tubman, Roosevelt, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), Thomas A. Edison, J.F.K., Benjamin Franklin, George Washington Carver, Eddie Van Halen, Albert Einstien (did you know he flunked alot in public-school math as a child??), AND MORE. (these statistics taken through years of research by reputed sphychologists and archiologists combined efforts of obtaining info on various people in history to obtain a better idea of what their personality were like charactoristicly more acurate for historical knowledge. To obtain URLs about this research, feel free to e-mail me).

What is this guy, (pardon my language from here on out) fucking retarded? yeah yeah yeah, this BS propaganda for us to let someone lack on responsibilities... I mean damnit, give me a break... they have no clue if Harriet Tubman had ADD or not, they didnt worry about that sorta shit back then... And they tell you all these famous people had ADD because it makes people who have been "diagnosed" feel better... oh yeah, and ADD is just a reason to drug kids up and turn their brains into silly putty so the government can control them!

Damn... Looks like perhaps a nerve was touched... Perhaps we should clarify a bit... I personally accept that there is indeed something called ADHD... My problem comes from the fact that I simply do not accept that so many people have this particular problem... People's personalities that do not fit nicely into society's accepted norms often get "diagnosed" as haveing some kind of problem...
As for that rather impressive if speculative ADD list... Is it just me, or did these people in particular do ok for themselves in life, having had to learn to deal with reality all by themselves, if they did indeed have ADD? Somehow, I don't think that list does much to support ADD as a major problem in the world...

Ive stayed up for 72 hoursstraight then studied for a Latin 2 test and aced it and I havea mild case of ADD so that dude should FUCK OFF and suck my left toe.

hmm, lets put 2 and 2 together, shall we?? while you conclude that MOST people diagnosed w/ this disorder are misdiagnosed, yet some ARE CORRECTLY DIAGNOSED, this dipshit (pardon my french) goes off the handle cause u didnt agree wholly on what the site said, and might i mention one little fact? you were complaining about one thing, and he went off on you for something totally different. apparently 2+2=5 in this case. What i mean is, Rache, you complained about misdiagnostics and such. HE complained about the effect of the disease itself. am i the only one to happen to notice that??? this guy needs to learn to shut his mouth. oh, and one other thing: i happen to KNOW quite a bit about "pharmacueticals" (if ur going to use $10 words, at least be bothered to spell them correctly..) and yes, they do work a fair amount of time. /however/ they are not 100% effective, and should never be considered a "wonder pill" or some such instant cure. it can take months or years, if at all, to find the right drug or combination of drugs to help the assumed ADHD sufferer combat their disease.

I'm trying to figure out Yoda's point. He lists a *lot* of people who he claims suffered (?) from ADD--undiagnosed, of course. I have to admit these were some great people.

Is he suggesting they should have been doped up? That might possibly have taken away that "edge" that made them what they are.

Now, he does make, what seems to me, one valid point: He says ADHD sufferers want to concentrate, they just can't. I'll take his word for it--but he also seems to miss your point that ADHD seems to be a lazy and convenient excuse made by school counselors to dope up some problem kids.

On another note, when you get a chance, tell Yoda to get a freakin' dictionary.

Maybe i blew up a little, so i will apologize for that, but i mean cmon... ADHD could be real... i dont know, nor do i really care, what i really hate is someone blindly defending a point (by this i mean only using a few sources to try and prove a whole point). You people need to back up, and maybe set a date and time to debate this in an AIM chatroom
thats how all these distputes should be settled... if you take my suggestion... then ill be there
